The following objectives are achieved in this level of education:

• Offer opportunities for collaborative intellectual exploration in which the child’s interests are supported and guided.

• Support the development of self-confidence, imagination, Intellectual independence, and self-efficacy.

• Foster an understanding of the child’s role in their community, in their culture and in the natural world.

• Prepare the child for secondary school education through independent learning.

• Develop the child manipulative skills, to equip the child with necessary skills to solve logical and abstract problem.

• Subjects offered include: Mathematics, English, Basic Science & Tech, Basic Agriculture, Pre-vocational studies, ICT, Cultural and Creative Arts, Quantitative and Verbal Reasoning, Phonics & Writing, Diction & Reading, PE, Yoruba, French, Religious Studies (IRS & CRS), Home Economics
